We are delighted to introduce our Japanese course. ICJ International Education Information Centre runs the course under the sponsorship of LLC, London Language Centre.
LLC is affiliated with IIEL, the Institute of International Education in London, and runs a Japanese and English department accredited by the British Council. LLC promotes both Japanese and English language education and has forged strong links with many institutes in the UK. In order to promote Japanese language education in Japan, LLC also set up LLC Japan and has undertaken joint projects with ICJ International Education Information Centre.
The International Education Information Centre of ICJ acts as the Japanese office of IIEL. ICJ carries out research on international education in Japan. It also organises the International Education Forum, bringing together professors and specialists from the fields of Japanese language teaching, linguistics and pedagogy.

■ Unique System

This programme is comprised of three units: Japanese “ears”, Japanese “tongue” and Japanese “face”. Each unit is designed for a specific purpose.

UNIT1 ears

This unit develops your listening skills effectively, and enables you to cope with various kinds of Japanese in many situations.

Lesson example
Listen to conversations/ announcements at;
a language school, a restaurant/a shopping mole, a hospital, a travel agency, a bank etc

UNIT2 tongue

This unit develops effective speaking skills, and enables you to express yourself with feeling.

Lesson example
Order at a shop, a hairdressers, a post office etc
Ask directions at a station, in a Taxi etc
Explain at a language school, at a hospital etc

UNIT3 face

In this unit, you will learn socio-cultural Japanese norms in order to make it possible for you to consider and choose the appropriate manner of behaviour and of speaking, according to the situation.

Japanese manners and habits, jokes etc

■ Course Benefits

・ The programme is sponsored by LLC, London Language Centre, who have almost 15 years of educational experience behind them.
・ All teachers hold a Postgraduate Diploma in TJFL, and have the skills necessary for providing lessons of a high quality.
・ Class size is 10 students maximum.
・ Appropriate words and expressions are carefully chosen and used in this course.

Once you have chosen the courses you want to study, complete an application form and send it to LLC Japan by post or Fax. An invoice will be sent to you.

Terms and Conditions
Minimum age is 16 on all courses. Minimum registration is 4 lessons.
Course fees include certificates, photocopies given in class and language exchange. They do not include course books, outings or transport to school. Fees are non-refundable unless the course is cancelled by LLC JAPAN Courses may occasionally be cancelled at the schools discretion.

If you would like individual tuition, we can arrange for a teacher to come to your home or workplace.
